Spring Conferences 2021-22
Spring Conferences are OPTIONAL. They are a short and concise 15mins. We will look at current/past work. We will set goals for the rest of the year.
Welcome Back!
I am very happy to meet and serve a new group of families this year! Our young scholars are already hard at learning and growing academically, physically, emotionally, aesthetically, and socially.
This Wednesday is Back to School Night. I have shared the Zoom link in the email. We will go over class expectations, major units of study, and I will answer questions during this time. You may also email me at anytime. However, I usually do not answer emails over the weekend.
Please check back here biweekly for class updates. Click "Inside the Classroom" above to see activities from class that I post on Twitter. You can also follow us @deaton_kevin. I usually post at least once a day from the classroom.
Below is our class planner/calendar. Due dates are automatically fed through Google Classroom. I will also post additional long term and important assignments and events there. Many assignments are due Fridays by 9pm. You should check your student's progress on assignments throughout the week. (I would make them open it up in Google Classroom instead of asking them "Is it done?" to keep them more accountable.) Do not rely on the auto-generated weekly summaries to check if they are meeting deadlines. Often students will turn in blank assignments to trick the system.
